3 - SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

As our business, within the tourism sector, pursues a goal of sustainable tourism.

The points we emphasize are the preservation of natural resources, implementing eco-friendly practices, contributing to local communities, and raising awareness among our employees about sustainable tourism.

Employee Awareness on Sustainable Tourism

We ensure our employees are informed about sustainable tourism. Our aim is to increase their awareness and sensitivity towards environmentally conscious tourism activities, thereby enhancing their sensitivity to sustainable tourism.

Preservation of Natural Resources

Recognizing the finite nature of our natural resources, at Casativo Hotels, we implement methods that conserve energy and water in our facility operations. Utilizing LED lighting, automated irrigation systems, timed lighting, and irrigation are some of the energy-saving technologies we employ. Moreover, we exhibit care in waste management and prioritize recycling practices.

Eco-Friendly Practices

Under our sustainable tourism policy, we use environmentally friendly materials and technologies. The textiles, seating areas, and furniture used in our facility are produced from recyclable and environmentally conscious materials.

Contributing to Local Communities

Local communities are fundamental elements of sustainable tourism. Therefore, at Casativo Hotels, we support intercultural cooperation by contributing to the local economy. We serve our guests with natural products such as freshly grown vegetables and fruits obtained by collaborating with local producers. By supporting local values and endorsing cultural activities like handicrafts and regional cuisines, we actively engage in preserving our country's local heritage.

Environmentally Friendly Practices for Guests

Our aim is to raise awareness among our guests about sustainability and introduce eco-friendly practices within our facility. Towards this end, we create informational materials that outline our facility's sustainability policies and practices. Additionally, we strive to increase our guests' environmental consciousness by implementing energy and water-saving methods. We also provide information about our natural beauty, historical sites, and national parks. Moreover, we introduce and offer our guests geographical indication-labelled local foods for their enjoyment.

Waste Management

To prevent pollution and promote recycling of reusable materials, suitable waste bins have been provided within our facility. We acknowledge the significant contribution of waste recycling to the economy and sustainability. We plan to implement waste reduction methods and practices within the zero waste framework.

Drawing attention to environmental issues and sustainability activities, we conduct events involving guests, employees, local communities, and other relevant stakeholders within and around our hotel.

To respond to our guests' interest in sustainable tourism practices and provide high-quality service, we utilize current technologies and environmentally friendly practices.

4- COMMUNICATION WITH STAKEHOLDERS

Employees: Our company maintains continuous communication with its employees through internal and external training sessions, performance evaluations, and departmental activities to foster familiarity among staff members. We also organize periodic tea and coffee breaks to promote camaraderie among employees. We strive to employ individuals from the region to contribute to local employment.

Guests: With a focus on guest satisfaction, our hotels make continuous communication a principle, obtaining feedback before, during, and after their stay and ensuring their requests are satisfactorily met.

Comments made by guests on social media platforms are meticulously reviewed and individually responded to. Suggestions for improvement from these comments are implemented into our operational procedures.

Suppliers: We select suppliers based on evaluations that prioritize eco-friendly practices and eco-certified products. To support local development, suppliers are primarily chosen from the Antalya region. We provide information to suppliers related to eco-friendly practices and sustainability.

Local Organizations: We engage in social and environmental projects with local organizations, aiming to raise awareness among local communities through environmental activities.

5- WATER CONSUMPTION

Acknowledging the finite nature of our water resources, our hotel has undertaken the following activities to use water efficiently and prevent waste. Employees, guests, and other stakeholders collaborate in this effort:

• We use equipment that conserves water to reduce water consumption.

• We place "Environment-Towel-Sheet Cards" in guest rooms to promote water conservation. These cards inform guests that towels and sheets are changed based on their preference to reduce water usage.

• Aerated faucets have been installed in all guest rooms and common areas to reduce water flow.

• Regular maintenance and descaling of these aerators are conducted.

• Faucet flow rates in all guest rooms and common area sinks have been adjusted not to exceed 5 liters per minute, while showers do not exceed 8 liters per minute.

• Water-saving and/or dual flush systems are used in guest toilets to reduce water consumption per use.

• We conduct training for our employees on conserving water and reporting water leaks. • Faucets in general use area toilets are equipped with aerators.

• We prefer local plant species in our hotel landscape that require minimal irrigation and are well adapted to the local climate.

• We track our water consumption on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis per person in our facility.

• Our facility's wastewater is discharged into the local government's sewage system in compliance with wastewater discharge regulations. We have the necessary permits in place.

6- ELECTRICITY AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION

One of the most important steps related to sustainability is ensuring energy efficiency. Firstly, energy usage should be measured to identify issues and potential areas for saving. Preference should be given to low-energy-consuming equipment and systems. Long-term improvements should be achieved through automation management and monitoring resources. Energy-saving measures are continuously analyzed through maintenance, supervision, and monitoring.

• We strive to reduce energy consumption by using machinery and equipment with high energy efficiency. We ensure that each newly acquired machine consumes less energy during the procurement process.

• Sensor-based lighting systems are used in general areas.

• Throughout our hotel and in guest rooms, we use LED lighting to provide the same level of illumination while consuming less electricity.

• Regular maintenance is conducted on electrical equipment to ensure their efficient operation.

• We utilize solar energy systems within our hotel.

• The use of double-pane windows in our hotel enhances energy efficiency.

• Regular training on energy efficiency and energy-saving practices is provided to all our employees.

• Our hotel's environmental lighting operates through a timer system.

• We track and measure energy consumption in our hotel on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis.

7- WASTE MANAGEMENT

To support sustainable tourism, contribute to the economy, prevent waste, protect the environment, mitigate pollution, raise public awareness, and promote an eco-friendly lifestyle, we are implementing a comprehensive waste reduction program across all operational departments in our hotels under the "Zero Waste" initiative.

• We pay special attention to segregating waste, especially hazardous materials, for recycling and appropriate disposal through licensed firms.

• Continuous training is provided to our staff regarding waste recycling, reduction, and segregation.

• We prioritize purchasing large-sized items, refillable containers, and bulk items rather than those with small packaging, chemicals, or beverages.

• We opt for double-sided printing and digital storage to reduce paper usage unless absolutely necessary.

• We prefer deposit-based bottled drinks and pre/post-mix beverages over those with small packaging.

• While maintaining variety in guest room amenities, we plan to transition to fixed items to reduce consumption and waste.

• Refill systems for soap and shampoo are employed in common areas.

• Sensor-equipped soap and paper dispensers in public restrooms limit consumption, contributing to waste reduction.

• To minimize paper waste, we've included cautionary messages in our email signatures and encouraged double-sided use of office papers.

• Across all departments, we've established necessary arrangements for waste segregation, providing color-coded bins, bags, etc., in line with the Zero Waste directive.

8- CHEMICAL CONSUMPTION

Chemicals, while serving to simplify our lives, also possess harmful effects on the environment. Therefore, the use of chemicals within our hotel is managed meticulously.

• We use chemicals that either do not harm the environment or have minimal environmental impact.

• All the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) for the chemicals used are acquired, and storage, transportation, usage, and disposal methods are determined accordingly.

• Our suppliers provide environmental sensitivity certifications for chemicals and Eco certifications are obtained for the chemicals used.

• We reduce chemical consumption by leveraging factors such as water pressure, temperature, etc.

• The detergents, disinfectants, and chemicals commonly used in our facility are of types that do not harm the environment (nature) and human health.

• We pay attention to using slow-release fertilizers for our plants, avoiding continuous disposal of fertilizers.

• We monitor our chemical usage levels and conduct staff training to prevent wasteful or incorrect use of chemicals.

9-PRESERVATION OF LOCAL ENVIRONMENT AND CULTURAL HERITAGE

The intensity of tourism and the increase in the population in our destination will lead our city to significant transformations. Consequently, there will be environmental loss, cultural assimilation, and the imminent threat of cultural heritage disappearing.

The success of our hotel is directly linked to the living culture, traditions, and people that shape our regions. Respecting and valuing these social aspects and contributing to their learning by our colleagues and guests are among our priorities. We desire that the benefits brought by tourism be accessible to the entire population. Therefore, to introduce our local cultural heritage to all our guests:

Through our website,

Visual signages, and

Our employees, we share regional information, our cultural heritage, and national parks.

Information on places of interest in our destination, directions on how to behave there, among other details, are provided to our guests.

Additionally, to minimize the damage caused by tourism to our environment, we educate our employees, support the local community, transmit cultural heritage, national values, and cultural values to our guests. We maintain communication with local authorities, continuously seek their opinions, and support local entrepreneurs to aid in the development of our region.

We share our leftover food with our furry friends.

Our kitchen prepares food based on the number of guests, presenting smaller portions to reduce waste.

In the production of our sustainable menu, we use vegetables and fruits entirely, minimizing waste by utilizing peels and stems.

We use products from the Antalya Women's Cooperative for our breakfasts.

Local foods and dishes are displayed in our buffet. Special regional foods are showcased in a separate area for our guests' appreciation and information.

Our hotel elevator showcases a cityscape to introduce our city's natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Brochures showcasing our natural beauty and cultural heritage are available for guests' attention at the reception.

Ensuring our guests' satisfaction is our top priority. Therefore, we constantly monitor and improve guest requests, expectations, complaints, and satisfaction by contacting relevant departments and responding to their demands.

Guest satisfaction measurements are conducted through surveys, on the website, and via Google reviews. For our visually impaired guests:
